Formed in 2011, the Spiritual Trio has become thoroughly at ease in mastering the language of Black music, reinterpreting and evoking the sound and rhythms of spirituals even in compositions that do not belong to the African American folk tradition. Their new project is titled Welcome Back, and in this latest musical offering the trio continues its reinterpretation of music rooted in the Gospel and Spiritual tradition, with a more diverse repertoire and the engaging sound that has distinguished them for over a decade.

In Welcome Back, the perfect balance achieved by the trio emerges clearly, the result of a well-established interplay among the musicians, refined through the many concerts that have, over the years, played a decisive role in their evolution. Direct contact with the audience represents the element that elevates and completes the group’s “spiritual” dimension, creating a deep sense of connection from the very first listen.
